Hard drive

I have a Dell XPS 400 an dI can't do much on it, not even get online. It is saying that I don't have any hard drive space left out of 240 GB give or take. I have only had it for three months on dial up so there is no way it is really full. I think that I have figured the 219GB to be in  Documents and setting but I can't actually see the files.
Any help would be wonderfull..
Thank you
Rick

for clean up and  it is saying that I don't have enough space.
System restore  says that there are no available dates. But looks like all are highlighted for me to use.
Thanks for the response.

Have you ever run disk cleanup?  Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Cleanup.  You could also uninstall any programs you never use.

I remember that happened on a couple machines and finally found out was my PC-cillin 2005 when first came out. It had started checking a file and went into some kind of loop and kept adding the file over and over in to documents and settings folder. Filled up hard drive in about 1/2 hour. If you are using PC-cillin try turn it off then look in documents and settings for the largest file and see if is same file over and over. You can change your recycle bin to not move files to recycle bin and then delete the files (I think were in PC-cillin temp). I have since only used free AVG and at time Avast. You could also try Ccleaner from cnet and let it check your system and cleanup. Hope this helps.
