Hardware Malfunction
I get this message, "Hardware Malfunction Call Hardware Vendor for Support"
"MMI: Parity Check/memory parity error"
"***System Has Halted***"
This usually happens right after booting up and going on-line. I have to shut off the power and boot up again.
Then the message, "Checking file system drive C.
Then the message, "Need to check disk for consistency"
Windows XP then verifys files and folders, truncates some files and comes back to the desk top.

Good to see you again, USMCGRUNT!
This sounds like a memory problem. Your RAM has possibly gone bad. If my memory serves me, you have an XPS T model, right? What you should do is go HERE, download the diagnostics for your system, and prepare the set of floppies to run the diagnostics.
Do you know how much RAM you have? Your system has three slots so you may have only one bad SDRAM chip. And this is an unusual situation where your system can take both error correcting (ECC or parity) and non-ECC RAM. Obviously, you have ECC RAM.
