You can obtain the driver here,

How Create the RAID Driver Disk for a Dell Dimension Computer,

You can find the guide to creating RAID, on pages 12 to 29, of your D-8400 Owner's Manual.

Note, you need an internal floopy drive for the RAID driver, a USB drive will not work.

Download or read this PDF manual for your 8400 and go to the "Setting up and Using yourComputer" section and in that section there are several "configuring for Raid" chapters

The first link provided by Bev. will make the floppy diskette you need.

At the very beginning of MCE setup, do an F6 to load the drivers from diskette. You will be given a choice later in setup to choose which driver to load, choose "iastor" driver for your raid to work.

You will need a Floppy drive installed on the 8400 to install the drivers. If you do not have a floppy drive installed in the 8400, you can install one temporarily to do the job, No, a usb floppy will not work. Must be connected to the floppy controller on the motherboard, to be recognized as A drive by setup.

Send me a private message with your email address and I can send a copy of the files to you, If necessary. You can use these for the slipstream method if you cannot use the floppy method for any reason.

You can slipstream the drivers into MCE, with a program like this
