Hi Aslrop,
A standard CD-ROM or DVD-ROM will not read / recognize a blank CD-R, CD-RW or DVD+/-R/RW media. Please hop over to Device Manager, click the "+" next to DVD/CD drives and list the names of the drives you see, someone can confirm your drives for you.
Best Regards
God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do
and the eyesight to tell the difference.
