Installing a Hard drive rack
Hi all,
I am trying to install my new hard drive rack into my dimension 9150. It is a Vantec 'EZ Swap - mrk-200st-bk'
I am able to get power to it no problem. The LCD works fine however, my system doest not see the hard drive. The unit comes with a HDD Access signal cable connector but I can not see anywhere on my motherboard to connect this cable to.
This is the cable
Has anyone installed this model removable hardrive rack? Where does the access cable go?

Try this link. Click on "Drives" and read the information about SATA dual drive configuration.

Hi fugieguys,
Thanks for the link however, the solution was far more simple than.
Dell failed to mention in the owners manual (as far as I can see) that the SATA ports are set to 'OFF' by default.
You need to enter the BIOS to turn on your respective SATA port before adding any hard drive to your system.

Oh.
The cable I show above is not needed for your rack to be functional other than to animate the LCD display on the front.
