Intel Application Accelerator update?

Received a message in the Dell Support popup that told me to update my Intel Application Accelerator.  It also said to apply this update on my next scheduled update cycle.  Wasn't aware there was a "scheduled update cycle" on my Dimension 8400 (one 160BG hard drive).

Anyway, I clicked on "Get it", and it opened a web page for downloading.  There were two files shown - a driver and an application (R82876.exe and R82884.exe).  Both say they are the RAID edition.

So now the questions:
1. Will this "scheduled update cycle" update this automatically?
2. If not, which of the two files do I use?
3. If I need to install both, which should I install first?

If your system is operating fine and you're having no problems, then don't use the update.

I got the same update info and was unable to follow the instructions given for installing the R82876...it says to download it to a floppy...did that...and then follow other instructions that seem to me what one would do if re-installing Windows XP...using the F6 prompt to get the specify an additional device...the only thing I can do is F2 to get into the setup area...that goes nowhere. So I've decided to let it run on the 4.0 versions until I get some "expert" advice. I have the Dimension 8400 with the Intel 82801FR SATA AHCI controller.

Don't update?  I think I will take that advice.....if it's not broke......

Given the lack of good information from Dell about how to do this, at least from my amatuer viewpoint, it's probably the safest approach.
