Intel Application Accelerator

Hello

I'm hoping someone can fill me in on the intel application accelerator.

I have a xps gen4 mobo is 925x/xe,

I have just finished a format and re-install of windows, I never had to set my sata drive @ f6 because I have a copy of xp with sp2, what I'm trying to work out is whether I have installed or even need the Intel app acc?

When I recieved the pc I'm sure there was a link in programs saying intel app acc, Well i dont have that no-more, do i need it? if not why was something installed on the default system, I know theres two drivers on the resource cd's, well one is the file for the f6 and one is a driver, if i try to install the driver intel app acc it says I have a newer version already, I'm just feeling its got something missing , as theres no link in my programs for the intel app acc and there was pre-format-install, is this program anything special?.

Hope this makes sence
(have you got the intel app link on your pc? can i get it back with dells disks?)

thanks for your time people

Rich

PS i know what it does, I just need to know where to look to see if i have installed it, and whether the link in my start/programs is needed, as thats missing )
