Hi Hose_2 i've personally never used Norton Ghost, i use Drive Image 5. Put boot disk in let it do it's thing, you should get A:> out the boot disk insert Ghost floppy, type whatever command for Ghost, let it load then it should give you some options for what you want to do. Pick the source and destination and let it do it's thing.  Hope this helps good luck

Thanks for your reply. I tried it, but it gets even more strange.

When I reboot it with a bootdisk and start Ghost from the bootdisk it shows the 2 partitions. partition 1 (8 gb) and partition2 (32 gb). I can select both but I chose nr 1 to create the 'image' from, but when I look in the drop-down box to save it it only shows A: ????

I'm totally lost. I tried it on my other PC and I have no problem there.

Does anyone have an idea?

thanks in advance for your help
