Hi k3van,

Welcome to the Community.

Let me know the operating system installed so that I can help you in a better way.

Also, to isolate the issue you can perform diagnostics. To launch PSA diagnostics, please press and hold “Fn” key while turning on the system. Hold it down until the diagnostic starts. For more information click the link mentioned below:

Please keep me posted with the results.

Hello Manshu,

I did a PSA and all test pass!  Hardware diagnostic test  all pass!

I went to dell website and I didn't a service tag check.  Somehow it wouldn't read the numbers and letter I put in.  Also did an automated  check for service tag. That don't work either.

So I just pick my laptop model (m15x). And did the latest A09 bios for the m15x and went to device manager and update all the driver that I found.

Everything work good,  just the logging off issue I am having problems with.   Wonder what is wrong?

Thanks Manshu.

Hi k3van,

Thank you for the reply.

If the diagnostics have pass, I would suggest you to update the BIOS and the drivers. Please click the link mentioned below which will take you to the drivers website:

http://dell.to/QjjZDA

Enter the Service Tag of the computer and choose the Operating System installed on the computer. Please update the latest version of BIOS available.

Also, you may click the link mentioned below for the drivers:

NOTE: Ensure that the battery is more than 30% charged and the adapter is connected during BIOS update process.

Thanks & Regards

Hi k3van,

It seems that a lot of applications are required to be closed by the system before logging off. I would suggest you to uninstall all the unwanted applications from control panel. Also, perform the steps mentioned on the link below:
