old computer

i bought a dell latitude cpi with a pentium 2 processor for my son and it was supposed to have an os already installed on it but that wasn't the case! all that shows up on it is invalid system disk! what do i need to do to install win98se! thank you in advance!

Thank you for using Dell's Community Forum.

If you need to install an operating system on this computer you will first need to purchase that operating system and then you can install it.

THANKS COREY! I HAVE WINDOWS98SE! I'VE GOT THE OS INSTALLED BUT ONLY HAVE A 6X8 SCREEN! BEFORE, I HAD MY PROBLEM, THE WHOLE DESK TOP WAS VISIBLE! OH I PURCHASED A DELL DIAGNOSTICS DISK TO FIX THIS PROBLEM! NOW ALL I NEED TO DO IT GET A FULL SCREEN VIEW! IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS, PLEASE HELP SO FAR I'VE WENT TO THE DESKTOP HELP AND IT DIDN'T HELP ME! TY AGAIN

Press Fn +F7 together after the splash screen goes off.
