optical dirve eject button
Optical drive XPS14Z does not eject
The optical drive eject button does not work with win7 32bit.
I tried to download some applications but all I tried to install I got a warning that it's an older version than actually installed. Does some know if there is a quicksetup?

When the DVD drive eject button does not work, then the drive has a mechanical failure and you need to replace the drive, or use the solution I posted.

Have you tried going to 'My Computer, right click the drive and click 'Eject' in the pop-up window?
Does this work?

if I go to the drive it works, but I want that the forseen eject button to work, and not a go around solution. Do you know how to activate the eject button?
