Please insert a disk into drive D
Ok, I have a disk in Drive D: (My CD Rom drive).....Why isn't it reading my disk? I inserted the disk into the other drive: Same problem. This happened a few days ago, so I decided to forget about it, and today, I inserted a memory card connected to a usb wire, and then the memory card drive popped up under disk drives, as a removable drive. I click on the drive, and it won't read that either!! What is wrong? I installed service pack 2 for windows XP, but my cd drives worked for weeks after that. I did mess around with my registry a little, but then I did a system restore to a few weeks back before I did anything to my registry, and my drives STILL WON'T WORK!! HELP!!!!

Hi Rob,
Lets start by clearing up any possible driver conflict.
Click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 15, article 1; Section 20, article 3; Section 11, article 2.
Seasons Greetings!
God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do and the eyesight to tell the
difference.
