print spooler fixed. reinstall printer

hi i sent a previous message reporting probelems with the print spooler etc. that seems to be fixed follwing your instructions. but know i can't reinstall the printer drivers and that as tthey keep reporting problems with my printer for example print monitor unkown. the print drivers seem to install ok up to this point. dimension 9100. dell photo printer 720. please help me

Try:
 
Controll Panel >Add New Hardware>I Want to Select From List>Pick Printer From List (if it exists)
 
or
 
Control Panel >Add New Hardware>I Want to Select From List>Have Disk> Browse to the driver location.
 
Should also be able to do this through:
 
Control Panel>Printers>Add New Printers>Pick Printer From List (if it exists)
 
or
 
Control Panel>Printers>Add New Printers>Have Disk>Browse to the driver location.
 
*Printer Applications are generally optional. Do a print test through Word, or print test with notepad, or other application. If it works, don't install additional printer application (could be software incompatibility).
 
Important Note:
 
*If your printer is already listed, delete it before you Add New Printer or Add New Hardware.
 
To see if a printer is installed:
 
Control Panel>Printers
 
or
 
Control Panel>System>Device Manager>Printers
