Problem with my hard disk drive

Hello, i'm having problem with my hard drive.

The comp doesn't want to start, it appears the blue dell screen and after it says something like, hard drive was not found and fixed op... was not found.

I tried everything it says when you have problem with the hard disk , here it's the link http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/kb/en/document?dn=1019624. The dell technical support told me to do it and i still have the same problem. They said the hard disk needs replacement. What do you think?

So, i've been looking to buy a new one on the dell site for my laptop but i can't find it. Does anyone know the link or which i should buy for my inspiron 8200? i'd like to know the price of 30 gb, 40gb, 60 gb and 80 gb?

Thank you very much.

Well, if you no longer under warrenty, try Zipzoomfly. Just about any of these 2.5 will work.  The 7k60 is what I have in my 8200 and my 8600. I like this drive, it's fast and quite. But don't buy the E7k60, because that is for servers and runs all the time, so it will be hotter and drain the battery faster.

I'll bet you have an 8000, 8100, or 8200.  Searching these forums would have told you to reseat both the hdd and the fixed optical drive by removing them from the notebook then firmly putting them back in.  If it still reports that, leave out the fixed drive. If it still reports that, then it is time to buy a drive.  It is usually just the notebook flexing and the drive(s) working loose.  Reseat.
