Problem with roxio 7.0

I have been having small problems with roxio, when my DVD rom and DVD burner quit reading. I have a dell demension 8250. I thought the problem was related to the roxio7.0 program so I removed it. That did not solve the problem so I did a system restore to time when the roms were reading. That fixed the rom problem, but the roxio program back on the computer, but not working at all. When I go to add and remove in the control panel it will not uninstall and will not allow me to install again. I have a newer version that also will not install because I get the same error message that cannot find something that is necessary to install or remove. Can anyone advise how to remove roxio7.0 when add and remove does not work?

Download a copy of Add Remove Pro 2.08 from here:

http://www.superwin.com/ffreewar.htm

Also, get a copy of Unclean from here:

A lot of times these will remove programs that
the regular windows add / remove utility will not

Both of these are very good and will not hurt the pc

As to Roxio, I suggest you stick with version 6 Platinum
but only install it from the full app cd .. do not try
to update from ver 5 to ver 6 as roxio had a lot of trouble
with doing that

You can try to run Roxio's Zap here ............

it may clear the parts you cannot.  Then try installing Version 7.

I was finally able to solve my problem by using the below link to remove windows installer for this program and then install a slightly newer version, Roxio7.5. I tried installing the same version, but it would stop during the install process. I think the 7.5 is just an updated version of roxio7.0 with updates. I could not use add and remove at all before using the below link. And the below link removed roxio 7.0 from add and remove panel, but not the folders from the C-drive. It appeared to install back into the same folders, but did not indicate during the process of removing any old files. It appears to be working fine, so I hope all is well. Thanks for your advise.
