program folder misfire its files. (Dim. 3000)
My Dell Dimension 3000, 512mb, 2.79 mhz, Duel Memory slots, DVD.RW, CD, ROM, is not populating applications and programs properly. Recently I purchased the Dell Automatic Tuneup Service subscription, after installation I noticed that when I logon to my computer and all my programs and apps. populate. there is a Program file from the Program Folder that Opens on my desktop. The path is C:/ Program File/Dell. after further investigation, I discovered it is a Dell Media Driver file.
I dont know how to send this file back to its folder. The path cannot be changed, or it won't change for me. I attempted a change in Path, sending the folder to Documents and Settings but the file openned the very next time I logged on to my computer.
Please advise. Note: I dont know how to tweak the Registry to rewrite its path, and I don't know how to write a Command Prompt. I have limited knowledg. I do follow instructions well. Please Help!

As this does not seem to be a hard drive problem, a better board to post this in, would be the Windows XP board here.
