RAID 0 - re-formatting - Win XP setup

That seems simple enough. Once I've deleted / re-created the RAID 0 array. I'll boot from my Win XP CD to get into the setup. One last question - I remember that during the beginning of the setup it mentions something like "hit F6 to use 3rd party SCSI drivers" do I need to specify some kind of drivers for the my SATA RAID 0 drivers or do they load anyway because the RAID controller in on the Dell motherboard and boots from the BIOS?

Thanks again for your help!

You will have to either provide the driver for your system via a floppy disk, or by slipstreaming the driver into your installation disk for Windows XP. I do not know what computer you have, so I cannot tell you which driver you'd need - but you can download it from Dell's driver download website assuming you know your Service Tag. That's what I had to do for my XPS 410. Worked like a charm.

The floppy approach is simplest, but if you didn't get a floppy drive be careful! If you are going to use a USB floppy drive, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314859 to be sure you get the right one! I think Sony won't work without some help.

it depends on the system. some of the ones (if not all) NOT currently shipping will have their drivers slipstreamed into the Dell CD.
