Raid Volume Errors

I have a Dell 8400 and am receiving a RAID 0 volume is failing error message "some data requests to a hard drive in a RAID O volume failed, but a backup may be possible....".

Is my hard drive definitely failing?

Status on Hard Drive O is error occurred which = there is a problem with the hard drive and it has failed by exceeding its recoverable threshold.  What is recoverable threshold and same question is the hard drive failing?

Would you replace the drive or trash the computer - also prior CD drive problems?

Thank you for any input.

Power on, F12, Dell diagnostics, extended test, hard drive.

Yes, it's worth replacing the drive. It'd be a good time to ditch the RAID 0 configuration as well - it does essentially nothing for performance, but if you lose either drive, you lose everything, so it doubles your chance of data loss.
