Read Disk error occured
left my lapttop on. I had a dark screen with a read disk error occured press cltr-alt-del to con't. I did it and no change. Also tried using different function keys before launch of windows to do some diagnostics. All test passed. Is there any way to launch windows in this state?

Sorry your post is a little confusing.
Will windows load to the desktop at all? Or each time you are booting you get this disk read error?
What different functions keys did you press to do what tests? Do you mean you ran all the Dell diagnostics test? If so did you run the full extended tests not the quick short ones.
This disk read error make me suspect a failing hard drive. So I suggest you run the extended hard drive test and perhaps get the hard drive maker's test utility or use Drive Fitness Test which is one made by IBM/Hitachi.
If the drive fails testing then try to backup any data you can retrieve and get a new hard drive.
