Remove Preinstalled Softwares !!

This is so to remove them and get my notebook better performing and free of trial versions of not wanted softwares.

I read that fresh installation of windows XP OS is recommended but i dont want to loose access to Restore option of dell, .

Also, will unsinstalling Norton Ghost do any damage, make me loose any important options ?

had just rcd the notebook, and had 80 gb as order but only 51gb is free :((((

 

In the future, by using the Advanced Forum Search on the bottom of this page, you can quite easily find the answer to this often asked question.

 

Using Add/Remove programs it's not possible to uninstall drivers, nor parts of XP unless you pick the Windows Components section. 

 

Ghost can be removed by CTRL F11 and pick option to recover that partition back, then you still may need to uninstall the program. 

 

You can easily open any program, determine if you want/need it, then remove it via Add/Remove programs.
