Removing Preinstalled Applications on Dimension E520
Mornin' Y'all:
I have been steadily replacing the applications that were prinstalled on this unit as soon as they started giving me problems, and have gone through all the non-Microsoft applications. What I would like to know is whether or not I can wipe Windows mail and Windows Media Player 11 from my HD without messing up a whole bunch of inter-related applications. I realize that it is not necessary to delete the applications, but I have found from bitter past experience, that these things tend to spring back to life on their own (especially if you are downloading an update or one of the countless patches) and I would prefer to have them fade quietly into etherland.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
