Roxio, 2 versions on same computer

I just bought a new computer and transfered my files to the new computer.
 
My computer now has two versions on it: 1)Roxio My DVD6 and 2) Easy CD and DVD Creator 6. (this version was moved from my old computer) - Roxio My DVD6 came with the new computer.
Should both of these programs be on my computer at the same time?
 
When I try to drag files from My Documents to a CD-RW, I get this message: "Easy CD & DVD Creator 6. The path "1" cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again or try to find the installation package "ECDC6.msi" in a folder from which you can install the product.
I also get this message: Error- 1706. No valid source could be found for product Easy CD& DVD Creator 6. The Windows Installer cannot continue.
 
I used to just drag my files to the CD-RW disk with no problem, now I can't.  Thanks, frankm

how did you "move" the old version to your new system????
Normally you cannot just move programs...they need to be installed to update the registray..That is proably why you are getting the errors..
 
I would not recommend two versions of  the same program..although it is sometimes possible most will tell you to uninstall the older version when installing the newer....in your case you might possible get away with it but it could also cause problems especially if a lot of the files are the same name...just different versions....windows can get confused as to which to load...

I used LapLink PCMover to move all of my files. (I don't think I would use it again). After using PCMover, I have three programs that won't work: ZoneAlarm, System Mechanic 6 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.
PCMover sent me a notice that they had a problem moving Adobe products and sent me instructions about fixing the problem but so far, I can't solve it.
 
Also, System Mechanic has a problem with Adobe software. They sent me instructions on how to exclude items from the System Mechanic Registry Optimizer. They used Adobe as an example.
 
About Roxio: I need to know if the "Roxio My DVD6" software is a new version of the old "Easy CD & DVD Creator 6" or were they different programs. If they are the same programs, I will delete the old version. Let me know. Thanks, Frankm
