Roxio won't initialise
I have a Dimension 8200, Win 2k, which has worked well, - only been fouled up rarely by virus attacks.
My Roxio CD burn software wont initialise. I click to open the program, and select Make a DataCD, and a box appears:
"Easy CD creator engine initialisation has failed: (Could not Initialise the engine)" - and an OK button.
I click the OK, and another box appears:
"Exception in CreateInstanc of Creator!" with another OK option
I click again and another box appears:
"CreatR50.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created." and another OK.
I have uninstalled the hardware, and uninstalled the Roxio software, and reinstalled them both. What could be causing this?

Hi F-P,
We have a number of Roxio Support articles listed on the CD/RW site. Click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 43, articles 4 & 2; Section 45, article 14; Section 46, article 2; then review Section 47, there you will find articles from one of Roxio`s Moderator, Patrick that may help.
Best Regards

Hi F-P,
Where Roxio and Dell too have changed their support layout, many of the links are dead.
Here is the Miscrosoft file:
Regsv32a.exe
