Safe Mode

Question

Earlier today I used the safe mode start up by hitting F8 and doing what I wanted to do,  BUT NOW,,,, everytime I start the computer again, I get the safe mode screen and have to click the normal startup...... Why did it not go back to the normal startup??   or what can I do to get the computer to start up the normal way, without seeing the safe mode screen ????????????? Any ideas

Whoops,, sorry being a novice  I forget all that Its a Dell Dimension 4100 with windows ME anything else ??
