Second drive not being found.

Hi, I just got a Western Digital 320GB Caviar SE16 7200rpm SATA II w/ 16MB Cache, but windows won't found it. I have look on the net a bit and it says that I need to enable it from the BIOS, which I did but it still won't find it. I also read that I need to install some drivers with it, but when i got the HD its didn't come with any and I couldn'f find any on either WD or Dell's site for this model. Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks

Go to  Control Panel/Administrative tools/Computer Management/Disk Management, now stretch the window out big, can you see an unallocated drive in there?

Read this starting at  "How to create a new partition or a new logical drive"

You have the correct data cable, they come loose easily, check it, the connectors on the hard drive are fragile, be careful.

Try another power cable if it is available. Can you hear the drive spin up when the PC powers up?

Re check the bios, to make sure the changes for that drive you made took. Is it identified in the bios by model number?

If all else fails try another data cable, they can go bad for no apparrent reason.
