second HD added Optiplex GX620 - problem

Question

Optiplex GX620 Windows XPPro OEM  (supplied drive is SATA)   Just added SATA2 Western Digital WD3200AAKS 320 gig as second data drive.    Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD3200AAKS 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM   I have partitioned (in half) NTFS and formatted.    The partitions are recognized and accesssable.   However when I boot, I get an error message:  'Drive 1 not found Serial ATA, SATA 1  Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup util'   This is a very annoying problem on every reboot.  The drive seems to be perfectly useable. I partitioned and formatted originally with the latest WD util available for that drive, the problem is there, and also have repartitioned and formatted with the Disk Management tool in Windows.   I recently obtained the machine (used-refurb) and it had the original A03 BIOS.  Since I am adding new memory next week, I flashed to A11, as per Dell information.   Is there a difference between a SATA cable and a Sata-II cable?  I purchased my cable locally, the drive purchase was oem and was just a drive alone no cables or packaging.  There is no spec on the package other than 'Serial ATA cable'.  I have seen cables on Newegg that mention 'SATA-II' cable.  Might this be my problem?   Tried everything so far.  Everything toggled in BIOS according to normal disk adding procedure. (I think)

You need to go into the BIOS and activate SATA-1 port.

I will go back in and poke around.  I have full use of the drive its just annoying that I have to push F1 to continue on every boot.    Thanks for the reply

Okay, straightened it out.    I clarifed where to plug the cables into the board and now it seems to be okay.
