Setup cannot copy the file ....

Question

Please help!  My PC kept crashing as I hadn't cleaned the inside of it for months.  The fan was covered in thick dust.  I've formatted the hard drive but when I try to install the Dell recovery disk I have loads of errors.  The main problem is when its trying to copy the files to the disk:   'Setup cannot copy the file Kodak_dc.icm                                      mdwmdm.sp.dll                                      nikedrv.sys                                      rio8drv.sys                                      riodrv.sys                                      spnike.dll                                      sprio600.dll                                      sprio800.dll   The list goes on and on!!!   I also get NTRDL is missing.   Also, 'The file Setup placed on your hard drive is not a valid Windows XP system image. If you are installing from a C, ther may be a problem with the Windows XP CD.'     The thing is I've used my Dell recovery disk before and it was ok then. There are no scratches on it.   Do I just need to buy a new XP disk from Dell or do I need to replace my hard drive?   I look forward to hearing from anyone.  Regards Chelle

On the bootup screen, hit F12 and run the hard drive diagnostics.  If it fails, replace the harddrive.
