Shut down error

Question

When i try to turn my pc off i get the following error Windows- drive not ready The drive is not ready; its door maybe open check drive A and make sure the disk is inserted and the door is closed. This stays on the screen for about 30 seconds and then it shuts down. Can anyone tell me how i can get rid of this. Thanks

Hi, Have you tried checking if you have a diskette inseterd into your floppy drive?

I have'nt got a floppy drive

you  might wanna try to check your BIOS setup. the issue might be with the boot up sequence. Try to see if the first bootable device is your Hard drive. if not. try to make the hard drive your first bootable device.

efc.   Check the BIOS setup, if the FD is set to 'enabled' [on] if so, change to to 'off'.   Bev.
