SONY CDRW/DVD CRX830E
Hi
I know this is going to sound really dumb...I'm not sure that this storage drive will burn DVD's...I know that it is supposed to read them. I have burned CD-R media with it already and it works great. I don't own any DVDs right now but had intended to purchase a dual drive with the ability to both read and write DVD media with the idea that I could do backups on DVD. Did I purchase the right item here? I have a brand new Dell Dimension 4700c. Thanks for any input you can provide!

Hi Michele,
As Jigs mentioned, this is not a DVD burner, it is what we call a Combo drive, a DVD-ROM & CD/RW.
