Studio 1535 Optical Drive Diagnostics Error

Every time I insert a disc into my DVD RW Drive and try to open it in windows, it automatically ejects it and says, "Please insert a disc into drive D:." And so I push the disc back in, and it just doesn't do anything.  This behavior is identical to that which is seen in this here video:

I ran a diagnostic, and here's the error info from that:

"Error Code: 0148

Msg: Error Code 2000-0148

Msg: Hard/Optical drive 0 - incorrect status: 1A Error

register: 0020h

Sense information: (02-0401)

Any help getting the thing working again would be great.
