System will not boot up

After a recent memory upgrade system will not come up.  I can see/hear it check DVD drive then CDR drive than it clicks to HD and freezes.  Cannot even get it to boot from floppy, HELP

#1  Remove the RAM you just added, see if the system functions.

#2  If you still have the no POST issue, then reseat the video card & other cards in the system (Video card last) & try to start the system again.  If the system is a XPS-T or newer system, it should have 4 diagnostic LEDs on the back.  Indicate if they are Yellow or Green  YYGG for example is usually a memory issue.

I've done this still no boot, doesn't even wake up the monitor.  NO LED on back either.  why won't it try to boot from floppy??

Well, the bad news is that it appears that you may have damaged your motherboard, trying to install the RAM.  RAM is very static sensitive, & the slots can easily be damaged especially if power wasn't not drained from motherboard prior to adding/removing RAM.
