Trouble loading cd rom...Tried everything....Please help

Hi, I'm trying to load a video game cd rom and I keep getting the message C:/WINNT/SYSTEM32/AUTOEXEC.NT.  I've tried loading it in different ways but I get the same message. Does anyone know what this means?....What do I have to do to get it to load?

What's the whole error message?

Hi, The whole message says...C:/WINNT/SYSTEM32/AUTOEXEC.NT.  The system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. Choose close to terminate. I don't know what to do after that.  The cd rom is a collection of old school video games....Thanks For your help.

Hi, I think the problem is WinXP is having difficulty running old DOS programs. I saw a solution on PC Magazine which seems to work, but you need to edit the autoexec.nt file, see link for details:
