windows 8 reinstallation and harddisk error

purchased windows 8 oem version through manufacturer dell.reinstalled once formating c drive to find adjacent partition "d" misssing.
its found in the disk managment section but not shown as logical drive.
to my surprise i dint have any option to partion or format or delete...
i mean no other option to recover partition space.the missing new partiotion is shown as 2 "new volume" in
disk managment without any letters assigned to names.
i mean the partition shown as two seperate ones in there.
this hapened as i installed from the backup dvd created using the same machine..
now there are 3 oem partitions too...
i recived two times the windows 8 dvd and new key for windows but it is displaying "key is not matching with images loaded on the system"!
now manufacturer s engneer changed motherboard and found that it also doesnt work.
only 2 months old laptop .
called manufacturer to get a message to contact microsoft and from microsoft i got reply to contact manufacturer.
b4 replying please note that the partition which is shown as oem is the same missing partiotion which i used and windows is installed to c drive itself,
confirmed by hardware engineer too..

Hi Vishnups,

You did not provide the model of your Dell laptop. You cannot use a Dell Windows 8 reinstallation disc unless your laptop's original OS is Windows 8.

its inspiron 7250 model laptop.it came with orginal windows 8 oem version preloaded....with my limited technical knowledge i could find out that there are such flaws in aurora bios drivers which are still not rectified by driver updates..not sure on the topic.anyway i am tired of explaining the fault of this 3 month old lap to

service technicians.the local technician sent by dell also failed to correct the issue as reinstallation of windows 8 also is not possible!

Ok, I see. Perhaps you could start by explaining exactly what you are trying to accomplish. Was there a problem with the OEM operating system installation?

installation of os fails as it detects the valid key as invalid!and the reinstallation using image cd created by machine itself was successful but made 250 gb partition missing

I'm going to recommend you go to this thread for help with reinstalling Windows 8. Insofar as you do not have a hard drive issue, this becomes a software problem, and the software forums are the best place to get help.
