windows error recovery???
I got my Dell Inspiron 1720 a month ago and now it is not working. Here is the problem!
Title is "Windows Error Recovery", it gave me 2 options, one is Launch StartUp Repair(recommended), second one is Start computer normally,
First i chose launch startup repair, i pressed enter and it bounced me back to the original screen, i tried to start computer normally, it restarted and same thing happened(Windows Error Recovery).
I ran diagnostics test and it failed the hard driver part. I got an error 0146???:smileysad:
Help!!!!
Is Vista really this horrible>?

Hi
You say you ran the diagnostics and it said your hard drives is bad you need to call Dell and have them replace the drive it has failed there is no way to fix the bad drive without replacing it !
{ {This has nothing to do with Vista}} it is your hard drive pure and simple !
And when you talk to the Dell support REP ask them for a pre imaged hard drive it will save you a lot of time verses reinstalling of your Vista software and the software that came with your computer!
Good Luck
