XPS 600 Boot Up Problem

First off Hello to everyone. I'm a bit new to this but I've learned quite a bit. Here goes my problem though:

When I try to turn on my comp, it boots up as normal until it gets to the windows splash screen. About 3 quarters of the way it stops giving me an error code 0x0000024. From doing research I learned that it was a problem with the NTFS file and that I should be able to repair it by running chkdsk:/f on either safe mode or on the recovery console. However, I am not able to boot up to any mode as I see the BSOD on every option given. When I try to run the dell xp installation cd to get it to repair windows, it says that it is not able to detect any drive. I have an XPS 600 with 2 Samsung 160 gig Sata Drives. I've learned from checking my bios that they are in a Raid configuration. I ran the dell diagnostics test on both drives as instructed by the dell tech and both passed. I am trying to aviod the worst case scenario which was to reformat the whole drive. Does anyone have a solution for this fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I did further research and found some of the nvidia rom drivers for the Sata drives that I have, the only problem is that they require the boot of a 3.5 and my system did not come with it.

You must boot to the xp cd to run the repair, reinstall or Recovery Console. Select the Boot Menu option by pressing F12 at the first Dell screen to boot to the cd that you put in the upper/top dvd-cd drive. It must be in the master upper drive if you have 2 drives.

Right I understand that part about booting from the disk. That was the option that I tried at first. However, once I get to the screen for both installation or repair, with both options that I chose it gives me the message that setup could not detect my hard drives. What should I try given this dilemma? Thanks again

So I finally got my comp fixed. I found out that the problem wasn't with the hard drives, but with the ntfs file in xp. I couldnt boot up the recovery console because it was not detecting the hard drive and hence not detecting my os. The solution i found was that I had to load the raid drivers (turns out the oem cd that dell sent me was a bit old and didnt have the proper drivers). I had to load it via a floppy and had to temporarily install one on my comp. But once the drivers were loaded it ended up detecting my os & hard drives and i was able to run a chkdsk. For anyone who may have this problem, the drivers can be found on the dell support.
