XPS RAID 0 Compatibility (with Common Utility Software) Question. Please Help!
I've placed an order for XPS system with RAID 0 configuration. (2 X 74GB As RAID 0 PLUS 160GB secondary HD) While waiting, I was shopping for some new software for my new computer.
-Norton Goback 4.0
-Trend Micro PC-Cillin Internet Security 2005
-V-Com Fix It Utilities 5.0
-Webroot Spy Sweeper 3.0
-Webroot Window Washer 5.0
At least Norton Goback & Trend Micro PC-Cillin clearly indicate that these software do not support RAID. It was also the same case for Norton Systemworks.
Is this true? Is that mean you can't use these programs if you have RAID 0 configuration? I suppose there are many PC owners thses days with RAID 0. Is this mean that the RAID 0 owners can't have normal system utilities that are important for the system? Is there any way to get around it?
Can someone also tell me if the rest of the programs (Fix It Utilities, Spy Sweeper, Window Washer) can be used with RAID 0?
I understand RAID 0 has no fault tolerence limit. But, why there are software limit such as this? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Norton System Works (but not Ghost) will work, at least the parts I use work fine on RAID 1. Also Spy Sweep works fine, Window Washer should work. The tools like Ghost may work in the future but nor right now, RAID 0 and RAID 1 are failry new for desktop systems so it may take a while for them to see the demand to add the features to support RAID.
