how to read V-MAX VCM/ACLX db ?

just trying to understand how do we restore a Masking view if in case of accidental deletion.

so before that, like I would like to read the db in a txt format, is that possible?

The only way i can think of backing up a ACLX database to text is like so:

Run the the command "symaccess list -sid view -v -detail" and then pipe the results to the text file. Using the -v and -detail will show all of the details of all of the masking views including each HBA, each port and each device and its lun id in each view.

If you want to backup and restore the entire database i would just use the "symaccess backup" and "symaccess restore" command.
