Can you confirm if the catalogue is updated? If so, the problem might just be in this updates being pushed to the blades. Is that right?
What OME version are you using? and OMIVV? Did you recently updated your OME?
This kind of issues normally require further investigation and escalation to escalation to System Engineers team. Maybe I will have to recommended you to contact support through normal process for investigation and possible escalation. They would need the logs from the system for review.

@DiegoLopez Thank you for your reply. We are using OME 3.5 and OMIVV 5.2. And yes, we are using the latest catalog. We use de default online catalog from Dell.com. I don't think this problem is within OME or OMIVV. Both products are independent from each other. The only thing they have in common is that they are using the same catalog from Dell. I did some additional troubleshooting today. It seems that this problem is not related to the Online Catalog, but this issue must be within the idrac. When i look on the idrac of a random blade server with this specific card, under System Inventory the Emulex FC adapter is show in the HW Invertory list. But the Emulex FC adapter is not shown in the Firmware Inventory. This applies to all my idrac 7/8/9 servers with the Emulex LPe 1205-M.
Since it's not shown in the Firmware Inventory on the iDrac. OMIVV and OME is unable to update the software as well.

If the blades are still in warranty I can check the logs to see wheter the hardware is detected or not. If they are not still in warranty.. please, can you let me know the iDrac and BIOS firmware version?
Also this Emulex FC adapter can be detected on the CMC? not the iDRAC of the blades but in the chasis CMC.
It doesn't really matter which version of the iDRAC or BIOS i use. We have some blades with older versions, but we have also have a lot of blade servers with the newest versions of iDRAC and BIOS. All my blade servers with the Emulex LPe1205-m adapter are not correctly invertoried by the idrac of the server, no matter which version of BIOS / iDRAC i use. And it doesn't matter if that server is a M620, M630 or M640 (iDRAC 7/8/9). The FC adapter is in the HW invertory on the iDRAC, but not in the FW inventory.
We also have 4 M640 blade servers with an Emulex LPm16002B-D, those 4 are correctly invertoried.
All CMC are running 6.21. The Emulex LPe 1205-m are also correctly visible in the CMC's on the Fabric B interfaces. But going to the Server Update Component screen on the CMC, the Emulex LPe 1205-m is not visible there.
Sorry for the delay, I was waiting for the answer from the Systems Engineer team.
They have some questions you may be able to answer:
- Is this a card that was purchased with the system?
- Did it read the FW previously and recently stop? Any changes?
- Have they attempted to update the FW manually and see if there is a change?
As mentioned above, if the blades are still in warranty we could check the logs and see if there is any error on the logs and if the hardware is detected correctly. Also, if in warranty and we still suspect an issue with OME/OMIVV then the Systems Engineer team would also need logs from them as well as the catalog version that they are using.
So, if your system is in warranty, I would suggest contacting with phone support asking them to escalate the issue to Systems Engineer team.
- Yes the cards were purchased with the systems - Yes it stopped. I think somewhere 2 months ago. We have updated OMent and idracs - We cannot update the Firmware manually, through the iDRAC. The system does not recognize the card. We can update through the OS (Windows and VMware ESXi). But afterwards the software is still not in the Firmware Inventory.
We are talking about roughly 300 systems, not one system. Apart from a few, all of them are in 4hr Pro Support warrenty.
I already contacted Phone Support, but they did not help me solve this problem. So that's why i am here. But if you will, I can try again?
