Does anyone get vVOL to work with vSphere 6.5 (UnityVSA version 4.0.1)

I had tested UnityVSA (community version) 4.0.1 vVOL (file/block) with vSphere 6.0 update 2.

It is ok.

When I try with vSphere 6.5, both vVOL file/block is not working.

vVOL can be provisioned but, the datastore state is inactive for vVOL block.

For vVOL file, it is not usable for the ESXi.

I use the same procedure to create the vVOL settings with vSphere 6.0/6.5.

The time settings are in sync.

I have done re-testing.

I have removed the settings and create it again.

The vVOL is ok now with esxi 6.5.0.

I think the problem is the initial setup, which I used hostname instead of IP address in the URL when the VASA is added into the vCenter.

Hi,

Try removing the vasa provider and adding it back (only do this if there is nothing else on this system using VASA and if the array is not in production). Then try once more.

If still not working please open an SR asap so we can take a look at this.

Thanks
