How to find common licensing
Hi everyone,
I searched but i couldn't find a place where we could see common licensing rules for ViPR. Is there some place similar to IBM licensing information (IBM LI docs and SaaS terms - search LI documents ) where I could find that ?
Thank you in advance.

hey Elgordoguap:
Not quite sure what you mean by common licensing Rules. Are you looking for Licenses themselves?
Could you please provide an example of what you are looking for?
Also, are you discussing VIPR SRM or VIPR Controller.
The general Doc link for SRM is:
EMC ViPR SRM 4.0.x Product Documentation Index
Thanks

Hi,
Sorry I was not very clear. I'm comparing several products for my company and need to know the common unit of measure for the licensing of VIPR SRM.
I'm use to work with IBM products and was looking for something similar to this : IBM LI docs and SaaS terms - view LI document (Here we can see at the end of the documentation the unit of measure for the product)
Thank you

Hi Elgordoguap:
We pinged the licensing group and they stated that There are no set guidelines. The length is determine by what the is purchased and that can differ per order. A permanent license key is a permanent license key and will not expire. There are options to get a temporary license to try a product but There's technically no standard or "common guideline" as far as the length for a license. It all depends on what is purchased.
If you would like to purchase something or get a temp license to sample something, feel free to contact your local field rep or you can call licensing at 1-800-782-4362, option 4.
