Installing vSphere 4.0 on an M6400
Does anyone know if it is possible to install VMware vSphere 4.0 - U1 on an M6400 mobile workstation. I've successfully installed vSphere on other laptop class systems (D630 & E4300), but on the M6400 the it errors out when trying to load the system network drivers.
The network adapter for this system is "Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Adapter" which should work according to the HCL.
I've also downloaded the three Broadcom driver disks from VMware to supply before loading the system drivers and the installer doesn't recognize them as VMware driver disks.
Can anyone provide any assistance?
