guest process investigation alerting

Is there a way for vFoglight to alert when a service isn't started using the guest process engine? Looking through the rules, it looks like it might be possible using the physical OS cartridge, but I think using the physical cartridge would cause a lot of redundant data for my virtual machines...

The options are:
Install the fglam on the VM
Deploy the OS cartridge
NOT create Windows System agents (to avoid redundant data), but rather
Create an AppMonitor agent to monitor the processes that a particular service starts
OR
Create Windows System agents, but set the CPU and Memory collections to 0.

Doable with custom Rule but not easy at all. OS cart is way easier but you are right about redundant data.

That may work- was hoping to get away from having the fglam on the VM's. I will give this a try... Thanks for the idea-
