Please go to
this site and download HiJackThis to its own folder that you create on your C:\ drive.
After it is downloaded open the program and click Scan and Save to log.

Post the log that it generates here.

jondad,

If your using IE, try turning off AutoComplete and clearing the internet history.

Your log looks good:
Open the Internet Options icon in Control Panel, and click the button marked Clear History. This also clears the address bar's drop-down menu.

jondad,

Make sure you have AutoComplete turned off. You can do this from IE by:

"Tools | Internet Options... | Content (tab) | AutoComplete (button) | WebAddress (uncheck this)"

-

Next, let's see what this scan can uncover...

Download mwav.exe from MicroWorld, then:

1.  Double-click the mwav.exe icon to run it (it'll self extract).
2.  Click "Scan".
3.  When it completes, post back the results.

Mike.

You can also try MRU-Blaster freeware, it detects and cleans (Most Recently Used) lists on your computer. The lists are displayed in drop-down menus automatically.
