Removal of Total security 2009 spyware program
I has a Dell Deimension 4600 using windows XP. Last night the spyware malicious program Total Security 2009 some how downloaded it self. Now I can not access anything, no internet, so virus protection, no firewall, no programs or documents. I have the Windows Defender on a CD but I can not get to safe mode to intall it. Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to get this off my computer or how to get to safe mode to install the windows Defender to get this off my computer?

Hi klee11750,
Your computer has a really nasty infection. Windows Defender will not be able to fix it. If you want to try to get this cleaned up on the forums, you may need to attach some files, and presently the Dell forums are not able to handle attachments.
I suggest posting at either of these two forums where the helpers have had experience with this particular variant:

Those instructions involve working in the registry and downloading another program that may cause conflicts and make matters worse.
