Solution Enabler and Symmetrix management Console
Hi Team,
i could understand that both these SE and SMC are used for managing the Symmetrix device.
but what is the difference between those. why using SE and why using SMC.

I believe the difference on managing Symmetrix array is that SE is command line base and SMC is GUI base. SE includes not only commands to control/manage Symmetrix array but also includes host base Daemons to interacting with other SE installed Hosts & Symmetrix Array.

SE is command line and SMC is GUI. So you have a choice on how best to do what you want. You can use scripting with CLI for example.
