Monitoring and Reporting 2.0: same licenses ?
Quick one:
I see there’s a new release of Monitoring & Reporting.
We’ve got a licensed 1.1 version running, I was wondering if we could use the same licenses with version 2.0 ?

I think the upgrade is free of charge. No majar feature changes.

VNX Family Monitoring and Reporting 2.0 introduces support for VNXe 3200 system performance and capacity metrics.
Backend infrastructure changes
Upgrades from 1.x
Due to changes to the backend database on VNX Family Monitoring and Reporting, the upgrade process has changed for upgrades from a 1.x to a 2.x version of the software. Please refer to the VNX Family Monitoring and Reporting 2.0 User Guide for detailed upgrade instructions.
Minimum Disk Space Requirements
Minimum disk space required on the host system running Monitoring and Reporting 2.0 has increased from 1.x versions of the software. Refer to Environment and system requirements.
Polling Interval customization
The polling interval for how frequently Monitoring and Reporting polls connected systems for updated metrics can now be customized.

You have installed version 2 but didn't upgrade to version 1, right ? I think you need to make changes to get all systems visible to current version you installed.

I installed M&R 2.0 without removing M&R 1.0, installation went well.
We can indeed reuse the licenses from version 1.x.
All the M&R services are started but it I can't see any data yet in the reports (from VNX-MR webpage), not sure if this is normal (or does it take like 24 hours before starting to get some?)
From System Properties, "Statistics Logging" is enabled.
I was wondering if "Data Loggin" must be enabled/started as well in System\Monitoring & Alerts\Statistics\Performance Data Logging.
We've got 2 different VNX (5300 & 5400), "Data Logging" is enabled on the 5300, not on the 5400. Not sure what's the best practice here?

In order to upgrade M&R to 2.0 I had to first uninstall version 1.1, reboot, install version 2.0, reboot and redo the whole config (add systems, scheduled reports, etc...)
I can now get data, it looks pretty good
