Bluetooth disabled after windows update - tried everything!

Question

Hi,

I have a Vostro 3591. My bluetooth driver just got disabled today. I can see it in the Device Manager when I enabled "Hidden Devices". I have tried the following:

1. Ran SupportAssist but I keep getting unknown error. I guess it's because my warranty has expired.

2. Installed all latest drivers that were recommended

3. Manually downloaded the Bluetooth driver and installed it.

4. Ran the Bluetooth troubleshooter.

Issue was resolved by following these steps as suggested in other similar threads:

1.Go to device manager and remove the unknown USB device (if any)

2. Shutdown

3. Disconnect AC power

4. Reboot after few minutes

Yes I removed everything under Bluetooth under Device Manager and then did a reboot and reinstalled the Qualcomm drivers again.

Yes already installed those as well. Except the new Windows feature.

I would expect Dell to release an urgent driver fix for this.

Does Dell expect her users to look in all the forums to find this tricky solution?

Bluetooth is an essential part of the laptop's capabilities.

Tamir128,You replied on a Vostro Laptop thread. Your Inspiron 3593 shipped from Dell on June 1, 2020 with Ubuntu Linux 18.04. Did you have the BT issue while running Ubuntu Linux 18.04? From what source did you get Windows?
