vostro 5501 bios update issue
How to prevent bios update after reverting back to previous version. I have identified an overheat issue with v1.9 and reverted back to v1.8 which solves the issue. Problem is each time I restart the system it automatically reverts to latest bios version. Suspect a file exists that upon restart it pushes the bios to the latest.

Found! Not a file but settings in the Bios. I disabled UEFI for updates. Issue solved via Google search.
