Am I dumb?? I can't delete a file.
Well I actually have a couple problems. The first is that I downloaded a file but it won't let me delete it. The error message says the filename is either too long or invalid. It shows as 0kb but I believe it was a bundled file that needed to be opened with like WinAce or something. Either way, I can't delete the file. When I right click on the icon it doesn't have the normal options. Rename, delete, properties.. none of those things are there. It just has open with, send to, or play. But it does not play any files or run any programs.
I ran antivirus and protection software but it didn't detect it as anything harmful. I actually have three files like this on the system and just can't seem to get rid of them.
Also, everytime I turn on the computer, the window opens up for C:/WINDOWS and says these files are hidden. This window never used to pop up before right on start up and I was wondering how to stop that from occuring.

Use the following link to download a utility that is free of charge.

I have tried it my self. It will ask you to select the file and then you will have to reboot your system for the file to be deleted becasue it deletes the file beofore Windows is allowed to boot and which is why it is not able to be deleted.
You can unistall it once you are done with it.

Have you tried a System Restore? Try restoring the PC to a date/time BEFORE you downloaded the file. See if that removes it.
There are several ways to access System Restore, one way is to
Click Start, All Programs/Accessories/System Tools.
