another code 39 question
I have seen plenty of questions about code 39 problems that involve optical drives "missing" or not working. My problem involves the usb ports on my inspiron 1525 running windows vista not working. Under device manager if you click on usb controllers all of the host and enhanced controllers have that yellow triangle with the exclamation point. If you select any of these you get that error code 39 that says ""Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)". Checking for solutions does not work, nor does updating the driver. Thanks, Mike

schilligerm007,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
Try reinstalling the chipset drivers into the system. This should get the usb ports working.
